About this event

This event is being postponed to the spring of 2024.

Explore Valley Forge National Historical Park on a guided walking tour!

Walnut Club members (plus guests!) are invited to spend the morning walking through the heart of Valley Forge National Park. Make the journey over the impressive Sullivan’s Bridge at Betzwood Crossing, which was the center of George Washington’s Continental Army 1777-78 Winter Encampment.

You'll also stop in The Washington Memorial Chapel, a remarkable cathedral with stunning stained glass windows. The chapel was built as a tribute to General George Washington and the patriot soldiers of Valley Forge.

Plus... we'll visit The Justice Bell (also known as the Woman's Suffrage Bell), which is a replica of the Liberty Bell made in 1915, created to promote the cause for women's suffrage in the United States from 1915 to 1920. The bell is on permanent display at the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge National Park in Pennsylvania. Learn more about the Justice Bell HERE.

Immediately following our tour, we'll picnic in the park! Be sure to bring a blanket to sit on!

In case of rain, a revised date will be announced.

The park is conveniently located off of U.S. Route 422. The main entrance to the park is at the intersection of State Route 23 and North Gulph Road. From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take Exit 326. From Interstate I-76, take Route 422 West to Route 23 West/Valley Forge. From State Route 252, take State Route 23 East.

You can also take the SEPTA 125 bus to the Visitor Center.

This event is for Walnut Club members and their guests only.
Tickets for this tour and picnic lunch have been discounted.
