Walnut Club members and guests are invited to a one-of-a-kind creativity workshop,WaxWorksPhoto. Join us at Susan Beard Design, in her loft studio. in Manayunk and learn the ancient art of encaustic painting, dating back to 800BC.

Working on your own photograph image, renowned Philadelphia artist and Walnut Club member, Susan Beard, will teach you the magic of beeswax. The process of building layers of organic beeswax over a photograph allows the ability to create a unique three-dimensional texture. Then, using paints in hues that compliment the image, the photograph takes on a more painterly feel; making it a one-of-a-kind work of art. No experience is needed, Its fun & playful.

Costs to attend this workshop are $98 per person. Tickets are non-refundable. You will leave with an 11x14 encaustic painting ready to hang. This fee also includes a light dinner, drinks, and wine. Dress casual - smocks will be on hand
