Join us for our monthly lunch series, which occurs the first Thursday of each month in Center City.
This month, we will be dining at Bud & Marilyn's. About Bud & Marilyn's: Chef Marcie Blaine Turney's grandparents, Blaine (better known as Bud) and Marilyn, owned a restaurant in her hometown called The Spot. Bud & Marilyn's is an homage to the restaurant Chef Turney grew up in. After more than 20 years in the business, she wanted a restaurant with a simple focus - great food + drink with genuine hospitality in the neighborhood she calls home. Her menu is American inspired and focuses on simple, well prepared comfort food. Co-Owner Valerie Safran runs the front of the house and operations for all of their restaurants as well as their 3 boutiques on 13th Street: Open House, Verde, and Grocery. The pioneering duo's restaurants and boutiques between Chestnut and Locust Streets have transformed the once-desolate neighborhood into trendy Midtown Village.
Lunch is open to Walnut Club members and first-time guests who are interested in learning more about our organization. Everyone is on their own to pay for their meals.
